In my previous life, I was crushing it as the Design Lead for Google Classroom. So crushing it that they made me a manager. Plot twist: I sucked at being a manager. My confidence? Shattered. To get my mind off of work, I tried out lots of hobbies. One of them was crochet. I spent weeks piecing together YouTube videos and blogs, making mistakes, and hoping for the best. All I could think was - what’s a girl gotta do to crochet a cute penguin, goshyarnit?! Then something magical happened. With each tiny stitch, I started to feel like myself again. Learning to crochet reminded me that I could still learn something new. That I wasn’t stuck. That maybe I could figure this whole management thing out too. That feeling you get when you do something you thought was impossible? It’s called fiero. That's why we created The Woobles. It’s not actually about crochet.
